Other Activities

I enjoy lots of activities outside of Research and Teaching. Here are a few:

In general I just love learning new things! I always enjoy cooking, gardening, and canning. This summer I canned pizza sauce, peach jam, and peach bbq sauce! I also have a Minecraft habit that might be taking up too much of my time. I really like to read scifi books.

I love traveling, hiking, and exploring. We recently visited London, Salzburg, Venice, Rome, Assisi, Florence, Prauge, Munich, Adelaide, and Melbourne. I had an outstanding exerpence watching the Eclipse from near my cabin in Idaho! Over the summer I lived in La Jolla CA where I got to do some fun top secret research.

Thanks to a wonderful photo class with Tommi Cahill I've been inspired to make some photos.
